Good Artists Gone BadI know I'll probably catch flack for this one but ZZ Top Eliminator to me stands out as one. A lot of Aerosmith's recent efforts also. |

Good Artists Gone BadJD, I was referring to songs, not the entire albums. While I like the sentiment of "Tears in Heaven", I do not think it is a good song and the fact that it was written due to a tragic accident probably compounded its overexposure on the radio. As far as The Kinks are concerned, they are not a band that I look to for profound lyrics in any way. Again, this is a song that I don't believe lives up to their usual standard, a throwaway, so to speak. As you said, these are only my opinions, no more or less valid than anyone elses. |
